Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX Advanced Brightening GelCreme Makeup

The moment I saw my new skin color (I just got back from a vacation) was the exact moment I planned on getting myself a new foundation. No, I am not just justifying my needs for more makeup. I badly need one. Since I am now sporting a tanned skin, my old foundations definitely won't match with it. Can you recommend something that works good on dry skin? :) Good thing I have the Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX Advanced Brightening GelCreme Makeup in Warm Creme (What a mouthful!) in my stash .

Before I went to a trip to the beach, this particular makeup is about 2 shades darker than my skin tone but bearable. Now, I think it appears to be a shade lighter. Oh well! The pictures were taken days before my vacation.

Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX Advanced GelCreme Makeup:
With powerful anti-irritants, including Kudzu Root, this gelcreme smooths away the look of dark spots, discolorations, and redness.
Benefits: Calms skin, improves clarity, medium, buildable, SPF 21/PA+

This particular foundation claims to lighten dark spots and scars. I have a small scar under my nose which I think was lightened after using this for almost everyday.

The photo above was taken with just a layer of the Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX Advanced Brightening GelCreme Makeup. It gives a medium coverage while letting the skin breath. It's blends on my skin easily and feels very light.

No concealer.
I love how it stays on for hours on my dry skin without looking cakey. I still have to set it with powder though to minimize it's shiny appearance and to ensure that it won't slide off.

What I LIKE about it:
  • A little goes a long way -- A pea-size is enough for my entire face.
  • Buildable
  • Very light on the skin
  • Does not cake on me, at least.
  • Easy to blend
  • Gives me a smooth, flawless-looking skin
  • Does not cause me any breakouts
  • Lightens the scars and has whitening claims
  • Has SPF 21!

What I DON'T LIKE about it:
  • Expensive -- I got this for free, though.
  • It's hard to control the amount of product to use with its packaging -- I personally prefer the pump-type packaging for foundations.
  • Gives a white cast on flash photography -- It's normal because it has SPF!

Will I repurchase?
NO. I am not after the whitening claims so I must look for something that works as good but not as expensive. And, I am pretty sure that this tube will last me a long time!

Notes:
  1. To ensure a flawless application, use a stippling brush or a sponge. Try the Charm Pro Stippling Brush!
  2. This gel creme makeup works best on oily skin.

I have a few more posts with my old, lighter skin. After those, you'll see a 'darker' me. :)
