Review: ELF HD Blush

I am deeply saddened by the fact that I have tons of backlogs. As much as I want to slowly give them attention, workload and academic load always take a lot of time. I need a better system. Something that would keep up on all the things I need and want to do. Priorities should be set, and there are things that need to temporarily take the back seat because more important things need to be done. If only I could ask for additional hours in a day, juggling things to do will be a breeze.

Since I was able to squeeze in some time to blog, here's a review of ELF HD Blush in the shades Superstar and Diva. These blushes are rich in pigmentation, creamy and HD ready. Its formula makes it long wearing since it adheres better to the skin.

Superstar | Diva
Naturally sculpts and highlights for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use.
The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy glow.
The velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.

Superstar | Diva

It gives amazing pigmentation, I tell you! So does it keep with its claims? Read more to find out!

I LIKE that it ...
  • is inexpensive. It is sold in the US for $3 each and locally for Php249.00. The Primp Pad, an online shop, has this for only Php168.00 each!
  • is housed in a small bottle with an easy to control pump. It dispenses the right amount of product.
  • has intense pigmentation! A little amount goes a very long way.
  • is lightweight.
  • looks natural with proper blending.
  • is longwearing! It fades throughout the day but it leaves a good-looking flush.
  • can be used on the lips as a matte lipstick.
  • has no pungent smell.
  • does not give my any skin-related issues.

I DON'T LIKE that ...
  • the formula is a bit tricky to handle. A quick shake is needed for the components to combine, unless you want some oily blush to work with.
  • it can look patchy when not blended properly. It sets pretty fast so utmost blending is needed.
  • it exaggerates dryness and lines when used on the lips.
  • it stains my hand during application.

Will I repurchase?
YES. This 10 ml product will sure last me a long time, though.

Superstar on my lips

Superstar looks very natural on me. It gives my face a kind of flush that I don't mind overdoing. On the lips, it looks kinda nude, which I love. This is actually a mainstay in my everyday makeup kit.

Diva on my cheeks
Diva on my lips

If you want intense pink color, go with Diva. It is very pink but still looks natural when blended properly. I love it more on my lips than on my cheeks. On lips, it exaggerates dryness and lines but nothing that a lip balm underneath won't redeem.

The ELF HD Blushes are great products to indulge in. Its rich pigmentation and staying power make it a winner. It can look patchy when applied incorrectly so make sure to take time blending it to the skin. Tip: To avoid patchy looking application, squirt a small amount at the back of your hand and use a brush  (duo-fiber, preferrably) to apply and blend it for a smooth finish.

Get the ELF HD Blush and a whole lot of ELF products from The Primp Pad in much cheaper prices!

Have you tried HD blushes? :)
