Review: Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque

Happy Sunday, everyone! :) I know, just like me, you are curious on how time flies quick. In just a few days, we will be spending Christmas which will be followed by New Year. Oh my, a new year means an additional year for all of us. An additional year can also mean additional age marks on my face! *Jes looks at the mirror, counting age marks here and there. A minute after, Jes becomes crazy!* Please forgive me, I get super paranoid when I see marks and lines on my face. Basically the same reason why I invest a lot of money, time and effort to my skin care regimen. :| Don't get me wrong, loves. I know we can't totally avoid those age marks but we have all the ways possible to slow down their population, right? Do I make sense? Okay, I don't! :)

One way to make our face glow and look young and healthy is having regular facials. Just like what I posted in MakeUpLove Reads: D.I.Y. Facial, a facial should be composed of cleansing, toning, masking (applying facial masques), and moisturizing. I admitted that I don't put on masques often and just when I promised I will change my skin care routine, the god of great skin made me win the Montagne Jeunesse giveaway of Ms. Phoebe (Bite. Luxe. Snap. Wonder.)

The Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque is only one the 9 masques I received (click HERE to see all the masques the company sent me). I chose to use this first because the word 'chocolate' in its name is so appetizing not to try. Also it said to be an anti-stress, so the stressed person in me felt giddy.

Because it is chocolate, I expected that it would look and smell like one. It did not disappoint. From the texture down to its smell, it is pure chocolate. I totally stopped myself from tasting it!

My chocolate-coated face!
 Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque:
Nourish your skin with a feast of rich and creamy delights
Treat yourself in a mud masque with a difference! Rich in natural ingredients this deep cleansing chocolate mud masque will help to unblock pores, allowing impurities to be drawn out. Coupled with the skin healing properties of Dead Sea Salt, and the moisturizing benefits of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter you will be left with renewed, re-hydrated and younger looking skin.
To benefit fully, we recommend: Thoroughly cleanse face with warm water only. Apply evenly to face and neck, avoiding eyes and lips. Now lie back and relax and let the masque do its work. Leave on for 10-15 minutes or until dry. Rinse with water. Pat dry. Use weekly.

What I LIKE about this product:
  • Inexpensive -- I saw one in Watsons and its priced for only Php79.00-Php89.00.
  • Easy to apply -- Very smooth consistency.
  • Smells like chocolate
  • A small amount goes a very long way -- A pack is good for 2-3 times use.
  •  Moisturizing
  • Easy to rinse
  • Leaves my skin feeling soft and clean
  • Does not sting
  • I had no allergic reactions -- No pimples, or tiny bumps grew on my face.
  • Available in Watsons

What I DON'T LIKE about this product:
  • Application may be a bit messy because you are using your hands
  • The packaging is not resealable -- Since a pack is good for 2-3 uses, I prefer it to have a resealable tape or dispenser.
  • Not all variants are available in all branches and outlets of Watsons

Will I repurchase?
YES! But after I finish all the 9 masques that were sent to me.

Notes:
  1. Make sure that your hands are clean before applying the product onto the face.
  2. Tie your hair neatly or wear a headband.
  3. Seal the pack properly after use o avoid spillage.
  4. The pack lasted, for me, for 3 uses.
  5. I was not able to feel its anti-stress claim, maybe because stress runs in me all the time!
  6. DO NOT DARE taste it! I know it smells and looks like chocolate but please, it's for a facial treatment! :)

So here's my take on the very first masques I used from Montagne Jeunesse! So far, I am loving it and i can't wait to use the other variants. :)
