Who's feeling the heat of summer? *Jes' raises hand* I am so excited to go out of town and hit the beach! Since I am still working out for my bikini body (which I don't think I'll achieve anytime soon), I started prepping my body by going hairless (not on the head, of course!).
I went to Strip: Ministry of Waxing in Serendra and had my underarms waxed courtesy of Hot Young Designers. I was planning to go for a Brazilian Wax but the professional-waxing virgin in me opted not to. I am still not ready to go hairless down there!
Yes, it was my first time at Strip and to a waxing salon, actually. I fear the possible pain waxing can give so it took me a while to finally try having one. Good thing, I had the best on my first time! Fact: I tried DIY waxing and it hurt!
I was led to a private room after registering at the counter. There were nothing spectacular in the room but it has all the necessities needed for the waxing procedure.
I stopped taking pictures on the moment I rested my back on the bed. I loved how hygienic the staff was. She wore latex gloves before working on me. There was absolutely no double dipping as each spatula was disposed every after application.
Was it painful? For someone who has a high pain tolerance, I can say that NO, it does not hurt. It stings, yes, but it is tolerable and the feeling goes away after about 5 seconds.
An underarm waxing procedure takes only about 15 minutes. The quick and almost painless experience is guaranteed by the quality of the wax and the skills of the therapists. I love the smell of the Berry Chocolate wax!
