Suesh Smoky Eye Brush Set

When I attended the Choose Your Glam (read my post about the event HERE) event sponsored by One Hyundai Club Life In Style, the girls of Suesh gave Ms. Marge of Kikay Trekkie and I a Suesh Smoky  Eye Brush Set each. Thank you, Suesh!

I've shared my initial thought about this set HERE and I think it's about time to give you my in-depth review. I am using this set for weeks now and I should say that each brush included in this set essential in creating a basic smoky eye look!

If you are planning to travel and you need to bring makeup brushes but you don't want to bring your entire collection to make sure that you would achieve the perfect makeup, the Suesh Smoky Eye Brush Set is the sure answer to your needs. This set has 4 brushes housed in a pouch which is big enough to contain makeup.    For beginners, the instruction card it has will sure be helpful!

My friends usually tell me that they can't do or follow my makeup tutorials because they don't have enough makeup brushes. I disagree withe the belief that one needs a lot of brushes to create a perfect eye makeup. Actually, if you're only aiming for the basic smoky eye, 4 brushes (or even less) are enough! Good thing, Suesh housed all the 4 brushes needed in just one set!

Large Eyeshadow Brush
I use this brush to blend and to apply highlight.

Small Eyeshadow Brush
This brush is perfect in applying color over the entire lid.

Angled Eyeliner Brush
The name tells it all!

Dome Smudge Brush
I love to use this brush to put color on my crease and to smudge the eyeliner.

I remember someone asking me if this set is a travel-sized. I, honestly, can't answer it because the size of each brush differs from another though they are much smaller than my Charm Pro brushes. For size comparisons, I placed it side-by-side with my travel-sized Sigma E25 blending brush.

What I LIKE about it:
  • Perfect for travel
  • Super soft hairs were used
  • Sturdy -- The ferrules are attached securely to the handles.
  • The handles are not too long and not to short, just perfect for my huge hands. :)
  • The kit/pouch has enough room for more makeup and/or brushes.
  • All brushes included in the set are useful in creating a smoky eye. -- Walang patapon, kumbaga!
  • The large and small eyeshadow brushes pick up the right amount of product.
  • The angled eyeliner brush can be used on eyebrows and lash lines.
  • The dome smudge brush can really get into the crease of my eyes.

What I DON'T LIKE about it:
  • The brushes shed some of its hairs on the first 2-3 washes. -- This is normal, actually. If the brushes are made with good quality, shedding will eventually stop.
  • Some find the price, Php850.00, too steep for just 4 brushes.

Will I repurchase?
NO, one set is enough for me!

Notes:
Though some find the price too expensive for 4 brushes, I think the price is reasonable because the brushes are all useful and are crafted perfectly for their jobs.

I used all the brushes in this eye makeup I did for yesterday's FOTD.
