Tony Moly Petite Cotton BB Cream SPF 36++ Delight | Review

Happy new year! Looking back, 2014 was one helluva of a ride. All good and bad things that happened sure gave us a bit of learning. All of those made its way to make us the person we are now. Let's rock 2015, shall we?

A day before we welcomed 2015, I got a terrible message from my beloved camera. It says, "Lens error." I already asked around what to do with it and researched possible DIY remedies but nothing happened. I used it hours before it gave me that message so I am clueless on what really happened with it. To cut it short, my camera cannot be used as of the moment. Please help me! Since I still haven't had it checked in the service center and I still don't have the budget to get myself a new lens, I have to make use of the last few photos I took with it. So yeah, the next set of reviews will be backlogs. I think this is the universe's way of telling me to work with my backlogs, noh?

My work with the backlogs of 2014 will start with Tony Moly Petite Cotton BB Cream SPF36++ Delight in the shade 02 Dark Beige.

I already have expressed my love for this BB cream last September 2014 through an Instagram post (@jesroque) but for some reasons, I failed to post my detailed thoughts on it here. I hope it's not yet too late to share with you why I love this budget-friendly BB cream to bits.

The shade Dark Beige is a tad dark for my skin. Normally, I would sway away from using it but its performance won over shade incompatibility. To make it work, I give it ample time to set into my skin until it blends really well or set it with a lighter shade of powder.

I LOVE that it ...
  • is affordable. It costs Php398.00 for 30g of product.
  • gives light to medium, build-able coverage.
  • stays on well even on humid weather.
  • yields a semi-matte finish.
  • doesn't feel heavy on the skin.
  • is housed in a slim, squeeze-type, handy tube.
  • has SPF36++.
  • doesn't cause me breakouts or any skin-related issue.
  • easy to blend.
  • available locally in all Tony Moly stores and outlets.

I DON'T LIKE that ...
  • the shade doesn't match my skin.

This is how a layer of Tony Moly Petite Cotton BB Cream SPF 36++ Delight fares on me. The shade difference is not that noticeable in this photo because of the lighting. Notice how it covers well my post-allergy scars and pimple marks? For heavy coverage, I would usually use two layers for flawless finish.

Since I like how the semi-matte finish look on my skin, I normally don't set with powder. I don't care that much if the shade is a bit dark, I just sport a bronzed look so other people won't bother as well.

The goodness of the Tony Moly Petite Cotton BB Cream SPF 36++ Delight will stay the entire day or until my nose starts to oil up. I just blot the oil and I am good to go again. Overall, I love it and repurchasing it is a must!

I just realized that this post is 2 days late for the Tony Moly sale. Buuuut, it's too good to pass and the regular price of this is not bad so I think, I can still be forgiven. :)

Okay, so going back to my camera issue, do you know how to get it fixed in a much cheaper value? That is totally blah. Hahaha!
