Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush

It was mid-May when I joined Codename Aya's Birthday Giveaway featuring Sigma F80 Brush. God knows how much I love to get Sigma brushes! Dearest Papa, I know you love me so much that you would send me a Sigma set soon. *Imagining Papa choking me! LOL*  Whenever I join giveaways, I always wish to win but never expect so I won't feel bad if I won't. And, how tiny the chances are of winning!

Then came June 16. I was excited to see an email from Aya with the subject, "Congratulations, you won a Sigma F80!" A post about the announcement came in after. Yehey! Another winning moment and another free item! Take note that I got to win an item I am so dying to get. Happiness was all over me!

Exactly a month after the announcement I received a parcel notice from the post office. I picked it up the next day. This was the box that contain my brush of happiness!

I was tired from all days work but when this package was handed on to me, I felt heaven. Okay, that is OA. When I reached home, I immediately opened the box and was greeted with this card. I love how Sigma packs their packages. You know that they exerted effort to make it personal and sweet!
Again, the card has my name at the back part of it.

Random fact about me: My complete name is Jessanette. Weird? Yes! I was named after the combined name of my parents. My father's name is Jesse and my mother's name is Jeanette. Hence, the name Jessanette. You may start making fun of my name. :)

The F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki is my favorite brush to date! I love how it flawlessly applies foundation on my face. :)

Sigma says:
This exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.
Price: $16.00 (~Php680.00)

What I like about it:
  • I got this for free! -- Yey for free items! :)
  • Looks very elegant
  • Sturdy

  • Very dense -- Look at the photo below.

  • Applies foundation flawlessly -- Little to no streak marks!
  • No shedding experienced
  • Came with a brush guard
  • The red pouch it came in with is reusable.

What I don't like about it:
  • The brush gets stuck into the brush guard most of the time! -- I once had to cut the sides of the brush guard to get the brush off it.
  • Not locally available -- Sigma ships internationally and there are local sellers that carry Sigma brushes. It may be a little pricey, though.
  • Might be a little pricey for some.

Will I repurchase?
NO but I am praying that someone with a good heart will send me a Sigma set. Papa, I hope you're reading this!

Notes:

  1. I use this brush to apply foundation and BB cream.
  2. I put a tape around the brush guard to stop it from getting torn all throughout.
  3. Make sure to put this into its brush guard to keep the bristles in place.
  4. Wash the brush (all of your brushes!) at least once a week to get rid of the dirt and germs.

I am so loving this brush that I use it every single day!

Thank you so much Codename Aya, you have definitely brought me happiness through this brush!
Thank you Sigma for sending me the brush without any hassles and at the earliest time possible!

I hope to win in more giveaways! :)

I'll soon post about my winning from MissKatV's Yummycharm giveaway!

Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
