MakeUpLove Reads: How To Determine Your Skin Tone

Hi there, lovelies! I am gone for almost a week. Yes, it was already a week! I have been very busy preparing for my final teaching demonstration held yesterday, September 8. It turned out to be extra awesome! That's worth another post! But hey, I rocked it! Haha! :)

Going back -- Do you know you skin tone? I mean, do you know if your skin falls into a 'cool' or 'warm' tone? It's important to know your skin's tone because not all color suits everyone's tone. There may be some hues that would look blah on you but there are some that screams fab! I honestly don't know into what category my skin tone falls. I always rely on my inner instincts. If I think a certain color looks good, then it will look good on me. Whatever rocks my boat, that is! Confidence to the highest level, baby! But lately, a certain thought bugged me making me think of getting acquainted to my skin tone. It's about time to rock the right colors for me! That was the reason why I searched the web on How To Determine Your Skin Tone.

I got this article from ehow.com. I love how this site offers you answers to almost all of my beauty-related questions! Now, do you want to know what your skin tone is? :)

Notes: The following information, ideas, lessons and views came from the magazines' writers and contributors. I do not take these as my own.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TONE

1. Take stock of the colors you know suit you. Do you look good in rich colors, such as navy blue, dark green, plum, black, fire-engine red, hot pink, magenta or silver? You probably have a cool skin tone. Do you look good in warm, earthy colors, such as light green, gold, mocha, peach, orange or bronze? You probably have a warm skin tone.

2. Pull your hair back into a bun or a ponytail. Hold up a white piece of paper and look into the mirror. If your skin looks more yellow next to the paper, you have a warm skin tone. If your face looks bluish, you have a cool skin tone.

3. Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If the veins have a greenish color, then you have a warm skin tone. If they are more blue, then you have a cool skin tone.

4. Go to mirror and turn away from it. Take another mirror and angle it so you can see the back of your head. Fold over your ear so you can see the crease behind it. Make sure you are not wearing any makeup. If the crease is yellow, you have a warm skin tone. If it is pink, you have a cool skin tone.

5. Look closely at your skin. You have a warm skin tone if you have yellow, golden or apricot undertones. You have a cool skin tone if you have rosy undertones.
