Review: The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow

When I was cropping and doing some finishing touches on my recently taken photos, I realized that everything looks crappy, at least on my expectations. It looks blurry and most of the colors didn't show up true and well. I am already planning to get a new camera, but I am waiting for the biggest financial break before I do so. While I still don't have a new and better camera, can these photos be forgiven for the moment?

I eat eyebrow products. Take it literally, I won't care. I think, I can finish one eyebrow pencil in less than a month and I can hit pan an eyebrow powder in about 3 months. Well, those computations came from the fact that eyebrow products are the most used makeup in my stash. So can you blame me if I tend to keep a lot of backup? Two weeks ago, I took the The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow in 04 for a spin and see how it would fare on me.

*Again, please forgive the crappy photos. :(

 Description (taken from http://international.thefaceshop.com)
* A smart triangular automatic eyebrow pencil that you can adjust the angle to make the inner eyebrows thick and the outer part thin

* A triangular shape automatic eyebrow pencil that you can adjust the angle to create any shape you want

* A more modern and simple design

*New formula that suits the market and makeup trend - Soft texture that completely adheres to the eyebrows and more powerful long lasting abilities!

* A triangular shaped pencil for easier application

The description of this product mainly focused on its unique triangular shape. Compared to the usual eyebrow pencil, the smart triangular shape makes application easier, especially for beginners. Sharpening is not needed too since it is retractable and the triangular shape of the product itself will always stay intact.

I LIKE that it ...
  • is very easy to use. The angled pencil makes a huge difference. It provides greater coverage and creates more natural-looking lines.
  • has a buildable, natural-looking pigmentation. It gives off color in just one swipe too.
  • stays on for about 4-5 hours.
  • glides on smoothly.
  • doesn't look waxy but helps making the brows stay in place.
  • can be removed easily with water.
  • is refillable.
  • has a built-in spooly on the other end.
  • has the important dates printed on it.
  • is available in 5 shades -- 01 Gray Brown, 02 Dark Brown, 03 Black Brown, 04 Brown and 05 Dark Gray.
  • is affordable for only Php225.00 in The Face Shop stores but way cheaper in A Style Me Pretty for only Php150.00!

I DON'T LIKE that ...
  •   the pencil is a bit wobbly in its tube.

Will I repurchase?
YES!

Since I just recently changed the shape of my brows (a bit natural-looking compared to the usual shape I sport), I needed to also change the color I use to define it. For about 3 weeks now, I am into less-dramatic shades and The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow in 04 is just perfect.

I just used  The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow in 04 in the pictures above. For normal days, just the pencil would do. But for days I want it to look extra defined, I would use an eyebrow powder on top of it.

The eyebrow product critic in me is satisfied with the The Face Shop Lovely me:ex Design My Eyebrow in 04. I like how its  unique angled shape helps in creating definition by providing greater coverage and giving natural-looking lines. Its staying power is pretty decent too compared to other eyebrow pencils. I could still not say if this is my HG eyebrow product but it is, without a doubt, found its way to my beauty book.

Get this eyebrow pencil and other authentic The Face Shop products in a lot cheaper price at A Style Me Pretty!

Before I end this post, I need you suggestions! What camera should I get? If possible, I want it to be compact, affordable and awesome! :)
