M&Co Silk Cream Liquid Foundation

Any makeup that would claim to be moisturizing will surely get my attention. No, the word makeup gets my attention! I never planned on getting the M&Co Silk Cream Liquid Foundation when I was browsing the M&Co brochure but upon reading the word 'moisturizing', I was hooked.

Silk Cream Liquid Foundation:
Silky soft cream based foundation with natural milk elements blended  with the finest powder for smooth,  crystal transparent effect. It has milk component benefits that moisturizes skin, improves complexion and smoothness.

Also, who wouldn't get caught by its price of Php180.00 for 30ml? I got the shade Light Medium (hoping that it would match my skin tone) without expecting that it would work as good as those foundations from Revlon and Koh Gen Do.

The packaging looks almost the same as the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation.

As soon as I opened it, I knew I got the wrong shade. It looks light on me but forgivable once set with the correct shade of powder. The downside of ordering through brochures!

So I wore this out one day to see how long it will last on my face. Amazingly, it stayed put without retouching for about 5 hours except on the areas around my nose. Please take note that my skin is dry. Was it moisturizing? Yes, because I experienced no flaking or caking at the end of the day. One thing though, it has sheer/light coverage. Looking at the bright side, this will let your skin to peek through the makeup.

What I LIKE about it:

  • Inexpensive! -- Only Php180.00 (~$4.5) for 30ml product!
  • Has light to medium coverage, perfect for everyday.
  • Coverage can be built
  • Has a pump dispenser
  • Lightweight
  • No weird scent
  • Stays on for about 4 hours without retouching
  • Moisturizing -- Though I still find the need to use a moisturizer prior to application.
  • Easy to spread
  • Manufacturing and Expiration dates are printed on the box

What I DON'T LIKE about it:
  • Limited shades available -- You can mix the shades to get the perfect shade for your skin!
  • The coverage is not enough to cover blemishes and dark circles.
  • It was hard to choose the shades just by looking at brochures.
  • Only available through M&Co dealers
  • VERY reflective on flash photography! -- Sadly, I don't have pictures to prove. :(

Will I repurchase?
YES, I'll get the other shades. I'll use it on clients that need light to medium coverage! :)

Notes:
  1. Use a primer to make the foundation lasts longer than usual.
  2. Use a concealer on areas that need further coverage.
  3. For smooth and flawless application, apply the foundation with a stippling brush or a moist sponge.
  4. Let the foundation set first before applying a second layer.
  5. Don't forget to set the foundation with a power.

Another promising product, right? I hope to share a FOTD using this foundation soon! This will sure be a part of my collection though I am still wanting more foundation from Revlon as it give me better coverage. :)

What is your favorite foundation and why?
