Review | Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails in 1 and 3

Though I not so much into nail products, I still make sure that my nails look somehow decent by having them cleaned and polished. Recently, I was able to receive nail polishes/lacquers from the recent events (here and here) that I attended. The colors were so pretty that I got very excited in trying them. Today, I'll be sharing to you my thoughts on the Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails in colors 1 (Mint Chocolate Chip) and 2 (Sweet & Sour Apricot Candy).

Mint Chocolate Chip | Sweet & Sour Apricot Candy
Allure: Glitter and stone infused pastel nail colors in yummy ice cream cone design.
Etude House really got into the sweets vibe in the Sweet Recipe collection. Everything was inspired by desserts and sweets, from packaging to smell (of some). I'll be reviewing other products from the collection. :) I love the packaging of nail lacquers in the Sweet Recipe Collection. The 4 gorgeous colors are each housed in a bottle that looks like an inverted ice cream cone. I bet, only Etude House thought of that cutie-patootie thing.

What I LIKE:
  • VERY cute packaging
  • sturdy packaging
  • each has 10 ml of product -- A lot compared to the usual 6ml of nail polishes.
  • each has generous amount of glitters
  • easy to apply
  • dries fast -- in about 3-4 minutes
  • does not chip easily -- especially when topped with a good top coat
  • does not give my nails a yellow stain
  • gives a nail art effect in an instant
  • easy to remove with a nail polish remover
  • comes with a nice brush
  • available in 4 yummy colors -- Mint Chocolate Chip, Zingy Lemon Sherbet, Sweet & Sour Apricot Candy and Twinkling Strawberry Candy
  • all colors are available in all Etude House stores

What I DON'T LIKE:
  • It takes me 3 shades to get an opaque finish.
  • has the usual nail polish scent
  • the glitters in color 1 Mint Chocolate Chip don't appear as visible like the ones in 3 Sweet & Sour Apricot Candy
  • no list of ingredients
  • a little pricey at Php 178.00 each.

Will I repurchase?
No. I'll just try the other Etude House nail polishes.

I know, my nails don't look good. :(

I like it but not to the extent that I will be purchasing the other colors. I love how it instantly gives my nails that oomp it need. I may be using these Ice Cream Nails on top of other nail polishes for a simple nail art. What do you think? :)

What shade/s are you interested to try in the Sweet Recipe collection? :)
