Review: LUSH Emotional Brilliance Cream Eyeshadow in Intuitive

Cream eyeshadows are quite a bit tricky to use, for me at least. Most of those I have tried crease and don't last long on my not-so-oily lids so you couldn't blame me if I don't have that much in my stash. Don't get me wrong, I still have some in my stash because they work good as base but I only have the basic white, black and taupe color. Getting a loud color, like the Lush Emotional Brilliance Cream Eyeshadow in Intuitive (which shouts lime green at the top of its lungs) is not usual for me but after reading good reviews on Lush cream eyeshadows, I knew I have to give it a try.

These cream eyeshadows can be bold and colorful or less dramatic as the base softens easily into your skin. We make the nourishing base with a soothing rose petal infusion and skin-softening almond and jojoba oils, so will really care for this most sensitive area. There's also glycerine to help carry the color beautifully over the eye.

I LIKE that it ...
  • has a true to color pay off. The color seen through the glass packaging is the same exact color that will be seen when applied on the lids. What you see is what you get!
  • dries and sets quicker than other cream eyeshadows.
  • is very easy to blend though the formula is a bit thick.
  • has buildable pigmentation.
  • does not crease!
  • stays long on the lids.
  • can be used as a base.
  • doesn't make the skin of my eyelids feel dry.
  • has infusions that takes care of the eyelids.
  • is housed in a quirky but recyclable glass packaging that contains a lot of product!
  • has a doe-foot applicator that picks up the right amount of product.
  • is available in other shades.

I DON'T LIKE that it ...
  • is a bit expensive at Php995 for 5g of product.
  • would be almost impossible to get and scoop all the product out the glass bottle.

Will I repurchase?
YES. I am totally lemming for the shade Sophisticated.

This is how Lush Emotional Brilliance Cream Eyeshadow in Intuitive looks on my lower lash line when applied. It sounds impossible, but it stayed that way for a very long time which is impressive for a cream eyeshadow. The shade Intuitive is quite loud, to be honest, but blending it with a little toned-down color can make it wearable.
