MakeOver Love 4: MJR

Next victim on MakeOver Love is MJR. I didn't have to shed a single drop of sweat to convince MJR to be part of my MakeOver Love series. She immediately agreed hoping that I can make her extra beautiful. Actually, MJR is my usual victim. Whenever I want to try out new makeup looks, I always do it on her. Haha! I don't call her Chim for nothing. This is an inside joke! I did this makeover the same day I did C's look (click HERE to check out MakeOver Love 3: C).

MJR has been having problems with her skin for over 4 years now. She is breaking out consistently because of reasons she is not aware of. I am continuously asking her to have her face checked by a professional to know the roots of all her skin problems and have it treated. I hope she gives in to my request soon!

Problems:
  • pimples and pimple marks
  • uneven skin tone

Status:
MJR puts on simple makeup once in a while. She hardly conceals her blemishes. The only thing she wanted me to do on her was to conceal and hide her skin problems.

Jes' Plans and Ideas:
  • Use a corrective makeup base to even out the skin tone. -- I used a green makeup base on her.
  • Heavily cover the pimples and pimple marks with concealer
  • Layer the foundation for better coverage
  • Do a fierce eye makeup look to draw the attention more on to the eyes rather than the skin

Note: I did not take step-by-step pictures of the procedures. Should I, next time?

As you all can see, I was not successful in hiding and concealing all the blemishes and imperfections on her face. I have yet to learn the techniques in concealing acne-prone skin. Nevertheless, I love the outcome of the look I did on her. It was way out her usual everyday look. I made her eyes look fierce to draw the attention more on to the area.

What can you say about the look I did on MJR? Please give me some tips on how to conceal and hide severe cases of acne and blemishes! :)
