Review: Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Rose Luster

It has been more than a week since my last post. As how the usual goes, this kind of unexpected hiatus was brought by hectic schedule. Worry not as I made sure that I took pictures and tried products (makeup and skincare) while I was out and working the hell out of me. If I'll have more time, to sit down in front of my laptop to draft a blog post and not work, I will be sharing with you my thoughts on each of the products I am trying and using. But for now, let's have a once in a while kind of post like this. I am so excited for summer break!

Would you believe that, despite me being a makeup hoarder, I only have 3 blushes in my personal kit that I interchangeably use? Yes, most of the blushes I have and buy are for clients. Not that I am not a fan of blushes, I just think that for personal use, one or two shades will do as long as you have the shades that suit you best.

I first used the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Luster Rose when I joined the Avon You Make It Beautiful Blogger Challenge. It was an okay blush when I first used it, but not something special. After that makeup tutorial, it went straight to the deepest part of my cabinet. For some reasons, last week, I decided to dig into that deepest part of my makeup cabinet and to give the makeup lost in there another try, hence, this post (and more to come).

I never thought that it would be a sweeter kind of love on the second time for me and the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Rose Luster. Its shade compliments my skin so well that one swipe can instantly make me look fresh and alive.

Sweep on a pop of fresh color! Our silky blush feels smooth and leaves your cheeks looking luminous.

It looks intimidatingly peachy pink on its pan.  Proper blending is needed unless you want a streak of blush on your cheeks. It has bits of shimmers that don't show that much on skin.

I LIKE that it ...
  • is pigmented.
  • [Rose Luster] looks natural on my skin.
  • has a huge mirror and 'okay' blush brush.
  • is housed in a sleek, black compact.
  • is not chalky.
  • stays on for about 4-5 hours!
  • is very affordable for only Php299.00.

I DON'T LIKE that ...
  •  the compact/packaging is too big and bulky for a blush. But this cons actually is actually lifted by the presence of the huge mirror which I like so much, by the way.
  • there are only a few shades available.

Will I repurchase?
Yes!

I hope the lighting when the above photo was taken didn't wash the beauty of Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Rose Luster off. It looks natural, right? This blush actually shooed my other blushes away because it stayed and will be staying in my personal kit longer than the usual 1 week.

I am not sure if the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush is still in the current brochure, sorry. If you happen to see it there, make sure to get one for yourself. I have to veer away from the thought that Avon only produces good lipsticks because there are hidden gems in their makeup collection. The task now is to discover those gems one by one. :)
