Current Skincare Routine

After the traumatic skin issue I underwent and with all these scars left on my face, I now I am not in the best position to share with you my skincare routine. But my heart was telling me that you are worthy to know what products helped me in battling with the issue and what products are worth using and are safe to the skin after my skin problem. So here you go!

After the skin issue I had, I became picky with the skin products I used. Come on, burnt skin was hell! After a good run of topical and oral medications, my skin is now healed. Not totally, though. I still have scars to deal with but nonetheless, everything was fine. My skin is no longer tight. No more traces of burns can be seen. No more itchy spots and zits. Without the scars, I can say that my skin is back.

I had to completely change my skincare routine to make sure no products will cause me irritations. And after weeks of using it, I am glad to say that these products help my skin recuperate. Without further ado, let me present to you my current skincare warriors!

These are the products I use in an everyday basis, except the Cure Natural Aqua Gel which I use once a week. So far, everything is working fine on my now delicate skin.

Skincare Routine: DAY

For the day routine, I make sure my skin is well-moisturized and well-protected.

Burt's Bees Daisy White Facial Cleanser, Facial Toner and Moisturizing Cream
Since I have to make sure that routine is starred with safe and effective products, I decided to make the half of it are is 99% natural. If you would notice, I have 3 Burt's Bees in my routine. That is how serious I am to going sides with natural, safe and effective products. The Burt's Bees Daisy White line, formulated with Daisy Extract, is clinically proven to brighten skin and help diminish the appearance of pigmentation and discoloration. The effects may not be seen dramatically but I can attest how this set slowly works on the scars and blemishes I have on my face.

The facial cleanser (Php 795.00) is very gentle on the skin. It removes light makeup and makes the skin feel soft and supple. The facial toner (Php795) is so-so in my opinion. It helps in further removing makeup and makes my skin feel refresh. The funky smell makes it off for me but nevertheless, it works okay. My favorite in the bunch is definitely the moisturizing cream (Php 1650)It moisturizes my skin very well that lasts for the whole day. It is lightweight and non-greasy. For some reasons, I feel that it works great as a primer. I just wish it has some SPF in its bag too.

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate
I cannot thank Sampleroom enough for introducing this product to me. I use it after cleansing my face as an overall serum. Immediately after use, I notice that my skin feel soft and supple. It helps in defending the skin from signs of aging, environmental factors and stress. A bit expensive, yes, but it is worth it! I am sure going to save up for a full-sized of this baby!

L'Oreal Revitalift V-Shaper
My face has been big and puffy, thanks to broad jaws and pig-out sessions. This may sound too pathetic, but I fully rely to L'Oreal Revitalift V-Shaper in making my face look slim and sculpted. This serum is formulated with Pro-Tensium and Anti-Puffiness system (caffeine and Escin) which help in micro-circulation and eliminating puffiness in the skin. To enhance product's efficacy, I apply it on my face in a downward, massaging motion. It's effectiveness is yet to be seen, but I love how it makes my think that my face is thin just by using it. I hope it prevent my face from showing signs of weight gain. :)

Belo SunExpert Face Cover SPF 40
Though I am in an airconditioned room most of the time, I make sure I pack my skin with UV rays protection. I am loving the Belo SunExpert line simply because they are lightweight and non-greasy. Sunblocks adds a layer of protection on the skin to stop the UV rays from adding signs of aging onto the skin and given that my skin turned to be delicate and sensitive, I need all the protection there is.

Skincare Routine: NIGHT

My night skincare routine is not as complicated as my day routine. It consists mainly of L'Oreal Revitalift V-Shaper, Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer Enriched and an eye cream.

Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer Enriched
This moisturizer is more intensive and heavier compared to the Burt's Bees Moisturizer Cream, thus, I use it as a night cream. It moisturizes my skin very well, making it look fresh in the morning. The formulation it has helps in correcting discolorations too!

Eye Cream

Using an eye cream when you reach your twenties is a must. Eye creams help in hydrating the area around the eyes and preventing collagen damage. Early signs of aging show in the eye area so make sure to be equipped with the best weapons. Lately, I am loving the Philosophy Eye Hope. It works well in hydrating and moisturizing the delicate undereye area while it battles with my dark circles.

Acne-Fighting

On days hormones start to kick, I include the Belo Essentials Acne Pro Pimple-Fighting Gel Face Wash and Pimple Gel in my routine. These work awesome, believe me. Check out my review of these products HERE.

 Exfoliant

Once a week, I exfoliate my skin and my favorite exfoliant of all time, hands down, is the Cure Natural Aqua Gel. Its formulation gently gets rid of dry cells making the skin look brighter and smoother. Read my review of this product HERE.

This is how my skin looks now. Scars are still visible but I am positive that those will be gone in no time. What happened to my skin weeks ago was tough and I no longer want my skin to undergo the same trial again. The scars I now have in my skin are constant reminders that I should only trust and use products that are safe and effecttive. Lesson learned, indeed.

Looking at the bright side of this incident, I can not truthfully test the coverage of face makeup! Stay tuned for my reviews of foundations, BB creams and face powders!
