Is the Dermorepubliq 10% Niacinamide Serum effective for its affordable price?

At one point in my life, I've once believed that expensive products are way, way better. After all, higher price point entails better ingredients, well thought of packaging, more accurate testing and research - right? But through countless products testing and doing my own researches, I found out and proved that it is not always the case. Yes, they may be good but expensive products do not always mean they are better than their affordable alternatives.

Yes, I still do splurge on some products but only when there is no available affordable counterparts. Or, if the cheaper compeer is not as effective. I make it a personal quest to always try to look for alternatives before spending on something. And so far I think I am successful on that route and I will be sharing stories about that, of course.

To start, let us talk about my take on the Dermorepubliq 10% Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid Face Anti-Blemish Serum (Php269), an accidental find when I was casually browsing on Shopee. There's nothing fancy about the entire line of the brand. I actually love how it presents itself - simple and straight to the point.

The Dermorepubliq 10% Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid Face Anti-Blemish Serum is housed in a glass, amber bottle with a pump dispenser. The consistency is thicker and slimier (hope it makes sense) compared to other niacinamide serums I have tried, possibly because of the aloe and snail essences it has. It has no scent and is formulated free of artificial colorants.

The pump dispenses the right amount of product, enough for the entire face. For my huge face, I like to use 2 full pumps.

As its name implies, this serum combines the complementing niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to give supple, smooth skin without compromising hydration. For those with dry skin like me, you'll love how each pump of this serum instantly moisturizes and hydrates the skin. Actually, it is already enough for me as a stand-alone, day moisturizer. But for days my skin needs that extra moisture, I still use a cream moisturizer on top it - something that also has niacinamide in it.

This, and all the other complementing skincare products that I use on a daily basis, helps in lightening my skin blemishes and improving the overall texture and appearance of my skin. Of course, I am still tons away from being perfect but I love how my skin looks clearer, healthier, smoother, and more hydrated!

The thing with niacinamide, like any other actives, is that it takes a while for you to see the results. Consistency and a dash of patience will not hurt so might as well take time in using it. As for the Dermorepubliq 10% Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid Face Anti-Blemish Serum, I love it that much that I already have backups enough for that long time use.

So going back to question if it's effective for its price? A sounding yes for me! And I stand with Dermorepubliq in the belief that quality does not need to be expensive.
