I always have a hard time thinking of titles for my FOTDs. I want to use quotes, lines of songs, and random phrases related to the look I did but I shall admit, I always don't have the creativity to think of such. Most often than not, I would show a photo of the look to my boyfriend and ask him to give it a title. Being an I-don't-know-anything-about-makeup kind of guy, he would just ask me to tell him something about the look and he would start suggesting from there. With this look, I told him that I decided to dig into my stash and reuse the makeup stored there. He suggested a lot of good titles but "Back to You" got me. After all, that was the story behind the look -- going back to each and every makeup I have.
I think this will be an on-going series. Once in a while, I will shop my stash and create looks using the makeup I once loved but have forgotten. Will a revisit (re-review) of some make sense? I am also thinking of doing that as well. Too many ideas but I'll deal with it one at a time.
For this look, I decided to again give love to the Ellana Minerals samples I got yeeeeeaaaaars ago! I am not exaggerating here, I got the samples around 4-5 years ago. I loved all the samples I got then but I found the loose powder type to be messy so I didn't bother to get the full-sized. Ellana Minerals underwent a major revamp and I cannot be more excited to try more of its products. But before my wallet cries for help because I will sure be getting a lot, I decided to again use the samples (foundation, concealer, blush and finishing veil) I have one day.
The finish is so pretty I can't even. The coverage is amazing, the staying power is the bomb. I fell in love again.
No editing was done to these pictures, I swear! This is how lovely the foundation, concealer and blush look on me. And now, I am itching to get the pressed versions of these products.
Ellana Minerals foundation (sample) in Hazelnut Latte
Ellana Minerals concealer (sample) in Light Golden Beige
Ellana Minerals blush (sample) in Lust (peach pink)
Ellana Minerals finishing powder (sample) in Espresso con Panna
K-Palette Real Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow
K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Brown
Avon Super Extend Extreme Mascara
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil in Naked
I am not sure if the shades of the Ellana Minerals makeup I mentioned are still available. You can visit http://ellana.com.ph/ to check. You can also get free samples if you're still doubting if the products will also work on you. For me, I need no more samples. I just have to personally see the products so I could get my perfect match.
So should I start the series Shop My Stash? What do you think?
ohhhh last na promise, very beauty queen yung smile ko sa last photo noh? :) Hehe! Chos lang! Happy Friday! :)
