Picture Perfect Face with Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect

Fact: Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation was one of the first few foundations I tried and loved when I ventured into makeup and beauty blogging. It was in 2011 and boy, that was almost 5 years ago! Fast forward to today, with advanced technologies and innovations, Revlon recently released the new and improved Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect.
The Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect still boasts the same claim -- poreless, flawless, and photo-perfect face.

Revolutionary formula with Light-Filtering Technology delivers a poreless, airbrushed look. Soft-focus pigments create a luminous finish. your skin has never looked so flawless.

My experience with it knows how well it performs so I got so intrigued on how more can they improve an already good one. I got the shade 005 Natural Beige, the same one I had some years back. I was surprised on how dark in turned on me. Did they change their shades or my skincare regimen is really working?

Despite the shade incompatibility, I still gave it a try. Past experiences flashed back -- same texture, same feel, same application. It covers imperfections and evens out the skin in one layer with minimal need for a concealer.

The above photo was taken after applying one layer. It, indeed, makes my face look flawless and poreless. It sets pretty fast too, so make sure to blend it right away. Once it sets, it will last for more than 6 hours with zero to minimal fading.

The shade Natural Beige is a bit dark but not to the extent that it appears bothering. I didn't set it with powder in these photos but if ever I will, I will use a shade that perfectly matches my skin tone.
It sets into a semi-matte finish that looks perfect in photos. Given that my skin is relatively dry, I have to apply a generous amount of moisturizer and hydrating primer to ensure that this won't settle in the fine lines on my face.

Though I think it performs the same or just a wee better than the old version, I noticed that the Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect have more glittery particles in it. It does not bother me in any way but when I was looking at the photos, I noticed that they were very noticeable. I firmly believed that these are for reflecting the light but it could and would have been better it they appear a bit more subtle.
Those glitters and shiny particles are not enough to shoo away my love for Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect. I loved it now and I love it still. If you have tried and loved the older Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation then I am pretty sure you will feel the same with the new Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect. If you haven't and you are currently looking for a foundation that looks great on the skin and photographs beautifully, then this is perfect.

As for me, I need to get a shade lighter than Natural Beige. My skincare regimen has made my skin fairer than before eh. :) Hmm. Anyone there who wants to trade? :)

The Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect is available in all Revlon counters nationwide!
